What Are “Suggested For You” Posts on Facebook?

Facebook labels the stuff it proposes to you as "Suggested For You" to distinguish it from the rest of the content in your feed.

Is it possible to disable "Suggested For You" posts?
Unfortunately, there is no way to prevent "Suggested For You" postings from appearing altogether if you don't like the stuff that Facebook offers for you. For obvious reasons, Facebook does not want you to be able to disable a feature meant to encourage you to use the app more frequently and for longer periods of time. In your feed, you will always see "Suggested For You" posts.
But it's not all terrible news. You can exert some control over the types of posts that appear in your feed and discover how to impact the type of content you see.
